In 2008, I graduated from Bennett College for Women at the height of the Great Recession. Like many graduates entering the workforce at that time, I quickly discovered that earning a degree did not guarantee opportunity. Jobs were scarce, businesses were downsizing, and many talented professionals found themselves navigating uncertainty.
Instead of waiting for an opportunity to appear, I created one. What began as a freelance marketing and administrative support business evolved into Rich Sista, Inc., a growth agency dedicated to helping entrepreneurs build brands, increase revenue, streamline operations, and create sustainable systems for long-term success.
Since 2008, I have supported more than 1,000 entrepreneurs, startups, nonprofits, and growing companies through strategic marketing, brand development, sales systems, operational workflows, and customer engagement strategies. My clients have ranged from local startups launching their first website to nationally recognized brands and entertainment projects seeking digital strategy and audience engagement.
Throughout my career, I have contributed to high-profile campaigns and initiatives, including digital marketing strategy and promotional efforts surrounding Amazon Studios' release of Chi-Raq, as well as original digital content creation and marketing design support for the inaugural Celebration Bowl. These experiences reinforced what I have always believed: visibility without strategy is temporary, but visibility combined with systems creates sustainable growth.
At the same time, some of my most meaningful work has happened behind the scenes with small business owners. I've helped entrepreneurs launch brands from scratch, develop websites and email marketing campaigns, improve customer retention, implement CRM systems, organize administrative workflows, and build the operational infrastructure necessary to scale.
My entrepreneurial journey eventually expanded beyond marketing and business operations into community development and real estate.
In 2020, I co-founded the Freedom Georgia Initiative alongside entrepreneur Renee Walters and other founding families. What began as a vision to create a safe, sustainable, and economically empowering environment for Black families grew into a nationally recognized movement. Together, 19 Black families acquired land in rural Georgia and launched a bold vision for a future community centered around environmental sustainability, agriculture, wellness, cooperative economics, recreation, and generational wealth building. The project attracted national and international media attention, went viral across social media platforms, and continues to inspire conversations about land ownership, community development, and Black economic empowerment. Over time, the initiative expanded to more than 500 acres and became a powerful example of what can happen when ordinary families come together around an extraordinary vision.
That experience taught me something I now bring into every client engagement: growth is never just about marketing. Growth is about vision, strategy, systems, assets, and execution.
Today, Rich Sista helps entrepreneurs do exactly that.
We help business owners increase visibility through marketing, create operational systems that support scale, and identify opportunities to build long-term wealth through strategic business and real estate decisions. Because I know firsthand what it means to start with uncertainty, build from scratch, and create opportunity where none exists.
My mission is simple: to help entrepreneurs build businesses, assets, and legacies that create freedom for themselves, their families, and their communities.
